The McLaren 675LT MSO Carbon Series is one of the rarest variants of the 675LT, with production limited to just 25 examples worldwide. Developed by McLaren Special Operations, the Carbon Series featured approximately 40% more exposed carbon fibre than the standard 675LT, incorporating numerous additional carbon fibre components both inside and out. Many of these components were unique to the Carbon Series and formed part of the car’s original build specification, meaning a standard 675LT cannot be fully converted or retrofitted to Carbon Series specification. This extensive use of carbon fibre, combined with a higher level of bespoke specification, made the Carbon Series the ultimate expression of the 675LT.
A key feature of the Carbon Series was the ability for customers to personalise their cars through MSO. Among the rarest options available was a coloured tint applied over the exposed carbon fibre bodywork. This finish was reserved for McLaren’s VVIP clients and allowed the carbon weave to remain visible beneath a translucent colour layer. As a result, Carbon Series cars specified with coloured exposed carbon are among the most exclusive of the 25 examples produced.
This example is finished in Blue Exposed Carbon over a Grey Leather and Alcantara MSO interior. It is a left-hand-drive car showing a very fitting 675 kilometres on the odometer. Featuring a contrasting silver wheel finish, with carbon centre caps and a paint-matched Mclaren emblem, the car presents a classy yet unique specification from factory.
